Tekton: How It's Made

So what do I do all day? That’s a good question.

It occurred to me that all people see most of the time is the “end product” – the book, the article on the site, etc. Well, perhaps they’d also like to know how it gets there. Call it a “How’s Its Made” for Tekton Apologetics.

My tendency right now is to break my day into segments and devote each segment to a specific activity. For variation, I will intersperse answering e-mails throughout the day.

Right now, here’s how the segments work out:

Segment 1: Read/take notes/compose for the book on New Testament reliability.

Segment 2: Read/take notes/compose for the Tekton E-Block.

Segment 3: Edit and compose for – well, that’s a secret. ;) I have something I’m working on which will be unveiled just after January 2009. Mostly it involves right now editing older materials to make them suitable for a new venue, and a little original composition. I’ll refer to it as “Project S” for the time being…

Anyway, on a daily basis here I’ll be giving a summary of the day’s work. Here’s what came down the pike today:

Reviewed and took notes from the first two-thirds Philip Comfort’s Encountering the Manuscripts. This is an excellent book, so good that I also may write a review of it for the E-Block newsletter.

Reviewed and took notes from a book that I plan to write an article on for the E-Block, and also started composing the review. Maybe some of you remember the book…Edgar Whisenant’s 88 Reasons Why the Rapture Will be in 1988.

Edited/composed 2 essays for Project S.

Had a phone discussion with a pastor out in Los Angeles whose church I’ll be visiting the weekend of November 7-9.

Emails answered: 12

By the way -- I'm not interested in wiseacre comments from Skeptics and the like here, so I've made it so that only members can make comments...and there are no members here. Sorry. :)
