Inspironiation

Had to spend half the day on USDA work, and since TWeb was closed in memory of Curt Marcus (see prior entry) I decided to use most of the time I had to get my new Inspiron running with stuff from my old system. Other than that:

E-Block: Did an Ask the Perfesser question.

Timely Transfer

Defending the Resurrection: Started reading a textbook called Managing Cultural Differences to see if anything useful came out. It’s huge (over 590 pages) so this may take a while.

E-Block: Finished the article on my patronage-transference thesis of the atonement.
Also continued one of the remaining chapters for Why I Became an Atheist.

Other: Did some transfer of data to the new computer. Also finished first draft on the freelance item and sent it out.

Memorial

Short day today; had to spend some time getting an oil change, and as I type this, I will soon be out the door to attend Curt Marcus' memorial service (see Oct. 30 entry).

Defending the Resurrection: Finished W. V. Harris’ Rethinking the Mediterranean but only found some potential reading references.

E-Block: Began the article on my patronage-transference thesis of the atonement.

Other: Did a podcast interview. Also did some setup work for a new computer donated to the ministry. Got Windows 7 on it, so it works better now.

Bizarre Bevere

Defending the Resurrection: Finished the chapter on geographic and personal associations. Also started reading Bernard Williams’ Shame and Necessity looking for anything useful. It came to me from the library system in the county just to the north – yippee.

E-Block: Finished the item on John Bevere’s Under Cover on the subject of those who claim to have “conversations with God.” Also continued one of the remaining chapters for Why I Became an Atheist and started work on the Chapter Previews item for this round – more on that tomorrow. And, worked more on that small freelance assignment.
